If an employee is not receiving text message, there are several things that you can try. This article will walk you through exactly what to do.
NOTE: If the employee is receiving text messages but is not able to check-in on their device, the employee may have location services turned off. Here are a few options for getting this turned on based on the operating system of the device:
Android Devices: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/3467281?hl=en
Apple Devices: https://support.apple.com/en-us/102647
NOTE: If sms messages fail 10 times in a row, then opt out will be auto selected. If selected, sms messages will no longer be sent to this phone number. If Opt Out is un-selected, then sms messages will resume sending again. Keep in mind, if 10 failed delivers in a row happen again, it will auto mark as Opt Out. If this happens the employee must contact his mobile carrier.
Here are the steps to take if any employee is not receiving text messages:
The first thing you should do is check FieldFlo to see if the Employee has the "SMS Opt Out" radio button checked on their Employee profile.
The next thing you should do is check to see if the Employee has blocked the FieldFlo number on their phone. The FieldFlo phone number is 833.341.3939. If the number has been blocked, you will need to have the Employee unblock it.
The next thing you should do is have the Employee save the FieldFlo number to their contact list. This will help the Employee avoid marking the number as "junk".
If the Employee is still not receiving text messages, you should have the employee text the word "Unstop" to the FieldFlo number.
If the above options have not worked, the Employee will need to contact their cell phone service provider and ask them to unblock messages coming from the FieldFlo number.
